Appointments

Appointments can be scheduled by calling 740-689-9860. We ask that you call in advance to schedule your appointments. We do not see “walk-ins” but we understand that ill patients must often be seen on the same day.  We ask that you call in advance. If you are unable to keep the appointment, please give 24 hours notice in order that another patient may be given that time. We reserve the right to charge for recurrent missed appointments.

Prescriptions

Your physician will generally prescribe your chronic medication in such quantity to cover you until your next appointment.  Patients obtaining their prescription medication from a mail order service, should schedule follow up visits early enough to give you time to get your medication renewed prior to running out. Some prescription benefit companies require certain non generic medication to be pre authorized which may affect the timeliness in getting your medication to you. We cannot guarantee that your medication will be approved by your insurance company. In the event you run out of medication prior to your next visit and require a short term prescription, please call our office during regular business hours. Please allow 48 hours to refill your renewed medication.  We do not accept fax prescription requests from pharmacies.

Your Responsibilities as a Patient

You are expected to be an active participant in your health care by following our recommendations and policies.
You are required to be open and honest about your health and self-care and you should be actively engaged in self-management of any chronic condition.

You are expected to keep your routine and follow-up appointments with your primary care physician.

In the event that your primary care physician is not in the office and you are actually ill, we can always schedule you with an alternative physician, but it is important that your primary care physician continues to be the supervisor of your health care.

Reminder calls are a courtesy.  If we are unable to contact you in our attempt to make reminder calls you are still expected to keep your appointment.
